The gene list search allows you to enter a list of gene names or accessions (limit of 1 entry per line and a maximum of 20 gene ID’s on unregistered accounts, 100 on registered accounts or unlimited on Paid Resources. The names/accession IDs need to match (partial matches are not enabled) the gene names/ids stored in the knowledge network. Generally KnetMiner will accept the scientific community’s norm in gene accessions. If you are working with very old gene IDs, consider using a tool like the Ensembl ID converter to convert them to those supported by KnetMiner.
If you have a list of genes and no idea about their function, simply paste your gene ids/names into the Gene List box (without any keywords) and let KnetMiner provide a summary of all information it has for your genes, their location, and enriched linked terms. You can then view their knowledge graphs.
Underneath the Gene List Search box, a tally of how many genes you have inputted is displayed. At the top right of the box your current limit is shown. If you are using a Paid Resource, there will be no limit.
For wheat specifically: we support using both Wheat 1.2 and 2.1 gene ids.
