We’ve made a massive leap forward by rebuilding KnetMiner from the ground up. This overhaul has allowed us to restructure many aspects of the platform internally, which has paved the way for us to bring forward a much more streamlined and efficient user experience (also largely thanks to our collaborations with UI/UX design experts!).

Enhanced Transparency and Resource Management
We’ve introduced a comprehensive resource page where you can explore both free and paid resources. You can filter resources to find exactly what you need and even vote for new species to be added to KnetMiner.

We’re committed to transparency, clearly listing available species in each resource and providing an easy way to request trial access to paid resources.
KnetMiner as a SaaS
KnetMiner is now a Software as a Service (SaaS), and some of our recent changes have significantly reduced our operational costs, allowing us to pass these savings on to you. We’ve developed a best-in-class pricing calculator that lets you subscribe to specific resources with commercial, academic, or student licences (with student verification). You can choose to be billed annually or monthly, purchase multiple seats with discount incentives, and even pay via invoice, all through an automated process without needing to contact us directly.
Network Saving and Sharing
We’ve made network saving and sharing a central part of KnetMiner. The new home page brings you directly to your networks page, where you can manage your saved and shared networks. This makes it easy to open, edit, and share your networks with colleagues and teams, fostering better collaboration and a neater way to share networks when publishing scientific work.
Improved Onboarding with Interactive Tutorials
Acknowledging that KnetMiner is a growing platform and onboarding can take time, we’ve built an entirely new interactive tutorial. It’s the first thing you’ll see when you sign up (which you can now do with Google, too!). This tutorial guides you through all the basics of the platform, and gets the ball rolling for a smooth start.

Advanced Search with Elasticsearch

We’ve integrated Elasticsearch into KnetMiner, accessible via the search box at the top right. Our totally new and powerful search engine indexes everything you have access to on your account and provides a fast and efficient way to navigate the web app. We're constantly innovating and are always keen to hear feedback from our users, so please feel free to reach out.
