Frequently asked questions

How does Premium work?

With each premium resource, users gain the ability to store up to 100 networks for said resource; perform unlimited searches across genes and genome regions, and generate networks containing up to 100 genes, per network. Users can access up to 50 literature reviews per month, accompanied by comprehensive Semantic Pathway information and exclusive network features. This package is further supported by on-demand assistance from our team of experts, simply get in touch.

What counts as a network?

A network is a saved network, saved into your personal account. You can create unlimited networks, but a finite amount can be saved to your account, depending on the resource types you are saving from (Free, or Premium, for example).

What exclusive network features are accessible?

Data availability differs between Free and Premium, with Premium resources being updated more regularly and containing a larger amount of Species. New data integrations will generally first come to Premium, before potentially rolling out later to Free. Generally, KnetMiner offers the majority of UI features to all users, Free or Premium, however, Free users will generally have much lower limits to what they can use, with some features being restricted entirely until the user has registered an account.

Can networks be worked on collaboratively?

KnetMiner does not currently support live-collaboration. Our solution has been to implement a system whereby network owners can hand out specialised permission sets to either specific people, and/or to the public. This allows fine-grained control over who can view, View & Clone, and View, Clone & Share. Selecting either View & Clone or View, Clone & Share, will allow the shared-to users to duplicate your network and then modify their own version and share it back to you.

Will I be charged past limits?

No. We clearly stipulate limits wherever they apply, and it will be clear when you have hit a limit. KnetMiner cannot, and will never auto-charge you for exceeding any limit.
